About Laborers For Life Ministries
Robert R. (Bob) Cheshier is Founding Senior Pastor and President of Laborers For Life Ministries, a non-denominational missionary organization, established in 1978, and currently based out of La Porte, Texas south east of Houston. Through the years, primary focus of ministry has been in the United States and Africa.
Laborers For Life Ministries’ world vision is to teach, encourage and support church leaders; to take the message of God’s saving grace to those who are lost; to teach believers how to recognize and fulfill their God-given assignments; and to be obedient to serve in any capacity the Lord should lead.
Our Mission Statement is to “Go and reach the unreached and tell the untold making disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that the Lord has commanded us”. We are also members of World Missionary Evangelism.
2007 Projects Abroad will include trips to South Africa, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo as God continues to “enlarge the borders” of Laborers For Life Ministries; answering the call into new territories to “equip the equippers” by preaching in local churches, and holding leadership seminars for pastors and lay leaders.
2007 USA Projects include encouraging, supporting and ministering in smaller churches throughout the land wherever doors of opportunity open; as well as continuing other long range, on-going projects… Bob & Carol having also pastored for many years, have hearts for ministering where not only congregations, but also the Pastors and their wives and other leaders will be blessed and encouraged greatly.

Bob and his wife, Carol, reside in La Porte, Texas. They have seven children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren with another on the way…

Bob was called to the ministry as a young man and has continued in full time service, operating in the five-fold ministry. He is known for having a Pastor/Teaching ministry as well as an anointing upon his life in the prophetic, speaking encouragement to churches and individuals by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Bob and his wife, Carol, continue answering their call to missions both in the United States and Africa, as well as helping other missionaries who sacrifice to bring the Good News of the Gospel to those who might not hear it otherwise.
Bob was Founder and Senior Pastor of Bread of Life Church, Houston, Texas; Founder and Senior Pastor of West Rand Family Church, Johannesburg, South Africa; and Interim Pastor for churches in both the United States and South Africa.
50 Years in Ministry
This year, 2007, is a very special year for us. We are celebrating Bob being in ministry for 50 years…
He was called to the ministry as a young man and has continued in full time service, operating in the five-fold ministry.
Bob is known for having a Pastor/Teaching ministry as well as an anointing upon his life in the prophetic, speaking encouragement to churches and individuals by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Through the years, although being in ministry has been difficult at times; it has always been an honor and a pleasure to serve the Lord. From the beginning Bob was called to encourage and motivate churches, both at home and abroad, towards missions and after 50 years, still ministers the Word with zeal and enthusiasm.
Age does not seem to be a major factor, but availability and obedience is… So, we are believing that this year will be even greater for advancing the Kingdom of God over the earth and we want to do our part in God’s master plan… Although this year will not necessarily be an “easy” year, we believe it will be a year with miracles and great victories for the believer.
Trips to South Africa – May 29 to July 4 and November/December, 2007
One of Bob’s trip to South Africa is just weeks away… He will be there approximately five weeks, leaving on May 29th and returning on July 4th. Carol will be taking care of Laborers For Life business and also attending to prior commitments here in the U. S.
This time Bob will be ministering extensively in and around Johannesburg in poor areas where the needs are very great. He will be working in conjunction with Ron & Rina Kinnear with African Missions, based out of Pretoria. They will also be making plans for another trip to Rwanda & The Democratic Republic of Congo scheduled for November/December, 2007.
As God “enlarges the borders” of Laborers For Life Ministries, Bob & Carol will be answering the call into new territories such as Rwanda and The Democratic Republic of Congo. In these countries, there is a great need to “equip the equippers”; preaching in local churches, teaching pastors and holding leadership seminars for pastors and lay leaders. Bob will be the main speaker in these seminars.
What an exciting time to be a child of God, part of God’s great army, and doing what we are called and destined to do…
